TIM McKNIGHT – is a lifelong resident of Jackson, Michigan. Since 1990 Tim has been offering his customers attention to detail, great design, and excellent service through our Jackson store. Tim puts his years of experience to good use for the benefit of all of his customers, and as Store Manager he lends his expertise to the other team members of the Jackson Kitchen Shop. You may have seen one of Tim's kitchens on TV's ‘CRIBS’ which featured the home of the Motor City Madman - Ted Nugent. You don’t have to be famous to get a kitchen or bath design fit for a rock star; you just have to call Tim McKnight at the Kitchen Shop. You wouldn’t know it from his picture but Tim is a proud grandfather.

PAMELA FREDERICK - With an Interior Design degree from Eastern Michigan University, Pam puts her skills to good use planning unique kitchen and bath layouts. When space is a problem Kitchen Shop customers turn to Pam for creative space solutions. Pam is an experienced designer with over 15 years of experience. Her customers know that they are going to receive detailed computer drawings for their project. “Every design is unique and should reflect the personality and preference of the individual customer,” says Pam. She loves to work with colors, materials and textures in her design, and at the Kitchen Shop the possibilities are endless. Pam and her husband Rich are the proud parents of two active boys, Richie and Ryan. Pam is proud of the fact that she was able to stay at home with her boys for the first eight years and now enjoys balancing work life with family life.

SUSAN VAINNER-COOLBAUGH - Located in the same building as the Jackson Kitchen Shop you will find Classic Flooring. Based out of the Classic Flooring and Design location Susan Coolbaugh brings decades of interior design experience to her customers. She was educated at Kendall School of Design of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Susan will help you select the right flooring finishes in tile, wood or carpet . In addition window treatment solutions from Hunter Douglas products to custom draperies and accessories help you put the finishing touches on your home. Susan is a lifelong resident of Jackson. She is married and has two grown sons. She enjoys arts and crafts, walking, biking, shopping, and watching all sports with her family.

LISA COSHER – is the Office Manager at the Jackson Kitchen Shop. She has been in customer service for over 20 years. “I really enjoy making others happy, it is a great feeling when someone says thank you with a smile,” says Lisa. Making Kitchen Shop customers happy includes assisting with the timely order of cabinets, fixtures and appliances for your custom order.

BONNIE OTTO – serves as a receptionist in the Jackson store. She has many years of customer service and public relations experience in both the Detroit, and Jackson areas. Bonnie is a Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson, and a volunteer at the Jackson County Medical Center. She is committed to making the customer’s connection with the Kitchen Shop a pleasant and satisfying experience.

GREG SCHWAB - One of Kitchen Shop’s veteran design consultants, Greg has been providing service to Greater Lansing area homeowners for 25+ years. A degree in Architectural Arts and Science means your kitchen or bath design will work well in your home and meet good design standards. Some of Greg’s kitchen designs have been recognized in national publications like Signature Kitchen and Bath magazine. “Family is important to me, maybe that’s why helping people create beautiful kitchens in the heart of their homes continues to be the work that I love,” says Greg.

HARRY WIERSMA - started his career in the furniture business. Well, that's exactly where the kitchen and bath business is today, ‘furniture for the house.’ This Kitchen Shop veteran listens and helps you design the kitchen or bath of your dreams. A very talented designer, one of Harry's designs was recently used in the Lansing Area Parade of Homes. Harry's other great passion is golfing.

CHAPIN POMEROY - With ten years in the kitchen design business, Chapin comes to the Kitchen Shop specialize in consulting with builders. Builders will particularly appreciate his expertise in design, drafting, and computer-aided design. By offering the latest in cabinetry trends, counter top materials and competitive appliance packages means having Chapin Pomeroy from Kitchen Shop on your team to help you maximize value and close deals.

HELEN LINGEMANN – With a degree in interior design Helen has long term experience in customer relationship and service, including being a color consultant for a paint company and her own consulting business. This is Helen’s second ‘tour of duty’ at the Lansing Kitchen Shop. While Helen is serving in an administrative sales support capacity, visitors to the store will often call on Helen’s experience in color and design to help them make their choice. “The right color choices can be the difference between a good design and a great design,” says Helen. She lives in the Grand Ledge area and enjoys pursuing artistic endeavors like the clay creations adorning her work area in the Lansing store.

JEFF McNEIL- is the company's high energy, high volume sales designer. Jeff is mainly focused on new construction. He has the most contractor business at the Kitchen Shop. This multi-tasking designer prides himself in taking care of the customer, his builders, their installers and clients. Jeff also does very high end remodeling jobs along with adding commercial projects to his resume. Not only is Jeff one of our top performers, he also has been the top designer in the country with several cabinet lines. Jeff and his wife, and children reside in Battle Creek. He also does an amazing job of juggling his schedule to attend most of his kid's activities during and after school. If you are planning any new or remodeling jobs in the future contact Jeff. DAN MURPHY - started as a trim carpenter for the Kitchen Shop. Now over 20 years later he is one of the area's best designers. Dan’s one-on-one relationship design and selling style have won the praise of many of his clients. Very active in the ministry of his church, Dan and his wife Barb live in the house they built in Wattles Park, Battle Creek. An avid hunter, Dan owns two of the biggest bucks ever taken in Calhoun County.

DAVID B. BAIRD - is in charge of the installation department in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo. Being a licensed builder has helped David solve problems and keep projects on target. Having a staff person oversee the installation and labor with all the various sub-contractors gives our customers peace of mind. David resides in a new house with his wife Cindy and four daughters. They live in the Battle Creek area.

JAMIE BOONE - has a degree in interior design from Adrian College. She is one of our support staff that is up-to-date on computer design. Her job also includes helping clients choose colors, woods, tops, and textures. A naturally gifted and creative designer, she assists Jeff McNeil in all phases of the projects. From drawing, pricing, ordering, and follow-up - Jamie does it all. Ask her how her cake decorating classes are going.

ELLY HACKEMAN – is a graduate of Western Michigan University and has been a kitchen designer since 1990. She prides herself in working with her customers throughout the complete design process. She will work directly with the contractor to be sure that all the necessary specifications and information about the job is received and understood. Elly continues her customer service even after the installation, making sure her customers are happy and completely satisfied with their new room. “I truly love design. Working with a customer to create a fantastic kitchen, bath or other room is what keeps me going,” says Elly. “The Kitchen Shop encourages me to go the extra mile for our customers – and I wouldn’t have it any other way!”

BECKY SPENELLI - Battle Creek customers will feel the “Spenelli Affect” when they come to the Kitchen Shop. Becky Spenelli is our front office manager and is always ready to warmly greet our customers, assist sales consultants and help maintain accounts. “Nothing is more satisfying to me than a customer having a great experience with the Kitchen Shop from start to finish,” says Becky. She has over ten years of front office experience. She is part owner of Wilson Rentals and is affiliated with the Rental Property Owners Association of Battle Creek. Becky and her family call Wattles Park home. She is married to Dennis and is a busy mom of three children and in her spare time serves as the Assistant Pack Leader and Den Leader for Wattles Park Cub Scout Pack 335.

BARRY NOORA - has been with the Kitchen Shop family since 1978. His current responsibilities include marketing and oversight of the Battle Creek, Lansing, Jackson and Kalamazoo Kitchen Shop stores. Barry conducts sales and product training regularly and also works on showroom designs. He is an original member of the Michiana Chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association.” Keeping all of our showrooms current and fresh is part of the Kitchen Shop approach to helping customers visualize their own kitchen or bath design and see the latest trends in design, finishes and fixtures,’ says Noora. Barry says “… one of our biggest challenges is to let people know just how competitive we can be on prices. Once folks find out we have some of the best products, best design, and prices it is easy to see why the Kitchen Shops have been around since 1950 and are still going strong.” Barry and his wife have three grown sons. They enjoy cars, boating, and traveling.

JERRY DOORLAG - this multi-talented person actually was schooled as an airplane mechanic. Jerry has carried over that kind of attention to detail to become one of Kalamazoo’s best kitchen and bath designers. Since 1984 Jerry has been helping folks with what he calls, ‘the heartbeat of the home’ their kitchens. Jerry and his wife Lexi have raised three sons. Although Jerry still has his pilot license, his main hobby is sailing his sailboat in South Haven. He also has a passion for playing the piano.

VICTOR CHOPP - It has been said, the best designers come from the installation side of the business, and that is exactly Victor’s background, a licensed builder. Victor ran our installation department for nearly 14 years. The years of experience in the installation of kitchens has made Victor an excellent designer. He knows what fits and where to put it. Victor and his wife are busy in Lawton following and supporting their two daughters in school and sport activities. Victor loves snow, that's because he loves to snowmobile. TIM GUILFOYLE - has been in the building business since 2000. His main job is assisting contractors and homeowners in designing kitchens, baths, laundry rooms, entertainment areas and any other place they can use cabinetry. He helps you stay in budget, while maximizing design and function. Tim, his wife, and son live in a new house they recently built on the northeast side of Kalamazoo. Tim's hobby is playing hockey.

NIKKI WILLIS - is a graduate of FIDER, the accredited school at Western Michigan University, with an Interior Design degree. Nikki won Best Kitchen in the Parade of Homes for 2009 & 2010 in the $350,000+ home category. She works on an appointment basis for her clients and has worked for The Kitchen Shop for since 2000. Her strength is listening, designing, and completing your dream kitchen or bath. Nikki really shines on the more detailed and complicated projects. She is one of our best designers for color and texture advice. Nikki, her husband and children reside in Vicksburg. She is active in children’s ministries and AWANA ministries at church. Nikki is a soccer mom and a parent helper at her kids’ schools. She loves downhill skiing.

MIKE KONING - is another veteran of the kitchen and bath business. He and his wife reside in the Mattawan area where they are raising two sons. Mike's strengths are design and prompt service to all his regular builders and retail customers. Ask Mike about the giant bucks he likes to hunt.

ABBY SIKORA - is a graduate of Adrian College with a degree in Interior Design. She supports the sales staff with 20/20 computer-aided design, drawings, pricing, ordering, and follow up. Her other responsibilities include helping clients choose colors, woods, styles, and textures. She is a very talented designer and helps with our big builder accounts. Abby was voted female athlete of the year in her senior year of college. She is a volleyball player.

CHUCK SAYERS - has worn many hats since he joined the company in 1981. From counter top manufacturing, purchasing, customer service, builder sales, and kitchen design, Chuck has done it all. Chuck is a lifelong resident of Marshall. With one grown daughter in the military and two still at home Chuck still finds time to hunt. DALE WILLIS - Already retired from Eaton corp. Dale wanted to keep busy, so he has joined our group. Dale loves people and helping them design their kitchens and baths. A former athlete and high school referee, this seven time grandpa and father of three men still has the energy to help you with your new kitchen project.
